Introduction
The concept of risk, although central to many disciplines such as mathematics, physics, economics and the social sciences, has received little attention in the humanities and rarely finds its way into literary and artistic studies. This project aims to demonstrate the presence and relevance of the notion of risk in French literature from the XXᵉ century to post-industrial societies, by developing new critical tools.
The project seeks to analyse how risk is represented in literary works and how these respond to it, thereby influencing social practices, rationality and worldviews. The study of works from the early XXᵉ century (Unito), the post-world crisis period (Unibg) and contemporary ones (Unina) contributes to tracing the evolution of the literary imaginary of risk.
